Truculent! 
With this novel you will enjoy a great relaxing time that will put you in a good mood. The dialogues and repartees are funny and punchy.

In this story based in Los Angeles, there isn't too much dumb starlets rather women with personality, who know how to embrace their ambitions. 

Thus, the reader encounters Grace Sherridan who lives with her agent and longtime friend, Holly, and wants to try her luck in the showbiz for the second time.

Grace is not frivolous or superficial. I appreciate her simplicity, her fidelity and kindness. Even if she takes care of her body and appearance, it's not to blend in the mass of skinny actresses but for her well being. Grace is normal and sincere: she doesn't take celebrity seriously and doesn't take advantage of her best friend's relations. 

Fate puts her on the path of a British actor, very fashionable and super irresistible: Jack Hamilton. While sparks fly between them and the attraction seems more than compatible, some details seem to bother the young woman. 
First, he is 9 years younger ... And Grace strongly dislikes wearing the label of a young cougar... Second, women throw themselves at Jack's feet. Grace is not against a little competition but does not want to add her name to a list of one-night stand.

Again, I appreciate Grace's attitude. she does not take herself seriously and did the same with Jack. Certainly, she drools over his incredible plastic but she also manages to be interested in the man himself. Her self derision and humour are formidable weapon! 
She is delectable, fun and a great model of a modern woman. 

The only downside of my reading is purely technical ... 
How can she sleep 15 days with a living god without jumping his bones? 
I do not care that they use other alternatives but 15 days ... You got to be kidding me! Who would have such patience? 

Apart from that, I really enjoy myself and laugh out loud a few times. 
Perfect to take a breather!

Impressions 
Truculent! 
Ce roman vous fait passer un excellent moment de détente. Bonne humeur garantie et des réparties aussi drôles que percutantes. 
C'est très frais. 

Dans cette histoire basée à Los Angeles pas trop de starlettes écervelées, plutôt des femmes de caractères sachant se donner les moyens de leurs ambitions. Ainsi, le lecteur rencontre Grâce Sherridan qui vit avec son agent et amie de longue date, Holly, et qui souhaite tenter sa chance une nouvelle fois dans le show bizz. 

L'héroïne n'est ni superficielle, ni frivole. J'ai aimé qu'elle prenne soin de son corps et de son apparence. Pas pour se fondre dans la masse des actrices maigrichonnes mais pour son bien être personnelle. J'apprécié aussi sa simplicité, sa loyauté et sa gentillesse.
Elle se fout de la célébrité et ne cherche pas à tirer avantage des relations de sa meilleure amie. Elle est juste normale.

Le destin la met sur le chemin d'un acteur British, très en vogue et super irrésistible: Jack Hamilton. Alors que des étincelles jaillissent entre eux et que le courant semble plus que compatible, quelques détails semblent retenir la jeune femme. 
Premièrement, il a 9 ans de moins...Et jouer le rôle de jeune couguar lui déplaît fortement. 
Deuxièmement, les femmes se jettent à ses pieds. Grâce n'est pas contre un peu de compétition mais ne souhaite pas venir ajouter son nom à une liste de conquêtes d'un soir.

Là encore, j'ai apprécié l'attitude de Grace. Elle ne se prend pas au sérieux et en fait de même avec Jack. Certes, elle bave sur sa plastique démentielle mais elle parvient aussi à s'intéresser à l'homme. 
Son humeur et son autodérision sont des armes redoutables! La personnalité décapante de Grace renvoie une bonne image de la femme moderne.

Très honnêtement, il n'y a rien de nouveau dans l'intrigue mais les situations sont cocasses et les dialogues hilarants. Les personnages attachants et surprenants. 

Le seul bémol de ma lecture est purement technique...
Comment peut-elle dormir 15 jours avec un dieu vivant sans lui sauter dessus ? Je m'en fous qu'ils utilisent d'autres alternatives mais 15 jours...Faut pas déconner! 
Qui aurait une telle patience ? Franchement... 

A part ça, je me suis vraiment marée.
