TODD THE UGLIEST KID ON EARTH BY KEN KRISTENSEN, M.K. PERKER VOL 1
Synopsis
Todd wants desperately to make friends, but every kid he approaches winds up decapitated. Or worse.
Reactions
Original in the plot writing and how to give life to the characters, this comic is quite surprising.
First, because you never see the hero, his head is in a paper bag. So ugly that even the serial killer refuses to behead him ... it made me smile.
As if an ax murderer can be picky!
Then, Todd seems to keep his innocence in all mishaps that happen to him. The neighborhood children bully him with pranks and bad jokes, he finds himself in prison with criminals, his parents seems to forget about him but he continues to make its merry way.
It's cool while being crazy!
In this first volume beyond the serial killer, the reader met Todd's strange family...A delight! Full of caricatures and contemporary references, this comics really surprised me.
Full of caricatures and contemporary references, this comics really surprised me.
The illustrations are not beautiful. However, they are realistic, precise and fit perfectly with the mood and tone of the book. They are controlled and super enjoyable to look at beacuse they show you the ugliness. As for colors, they are loud but blend perfectly into the atmosphere.
I've seen a mix between "Beavis and Butthead", the sitcom "Married ... with Children" and a parody of "Oz. " A wacky mix, critical and caustic humour.

VOL 1
