Reactions 
A very short novella set in the world of women's magazines. 

The reader follows the adventures of Shey undergoing the crap of her superior while doing a good job. At least that is how LB is described, because in reality, he only gives some quite short deadlines to his assistant... 
No situation is really overwhelming. Maybe it was just to make the reader sympathize with the heroin... Personally, I was not moved! 

One day at work, Shey spot a gorgeous player: Calvin. He is hot as sin but has some bagage. He just get divorce from a wife who left him on the straw. 
From this experience, he fears to trust a woman again and prefer to have one night stand with no strings. 
As for Shey, she was conceived by mistake after a bit of nooky unprotected. So, she is afraid to get attach to avoid looking like her bitchy mother. 

Nothing memorable in this story, or in the characters. The story is quite short, the two heroes fall in love too quickly and solve all their problems in a snap. I'm certainly unfair, because the story is not bad, but the heroes have some heavy personal baggage that miraculously evaporate after a few days in the company of each other. I know that love can overcome all the issues...what's the hell ? 
No time either to get attached on the characters that the story is already over. 

So I would say this is a perfect story for a subway ride during which the reader want to be entertained without thinking too much.

La célibataire, Shey Lopez, ne sort pas avec des coups d'un soir, ou n'a pas de relations qu'elle ne peut pas contrôler. Surtout si céder au play-boy Calvin Jones veut dire perdre son âme dans la foulée. 
Toutefois, monsieur je n'accepte pas non comme réponse obtient toujours ce qu'il veut et il y a un limite aux nombres de fois ou une fille peut résister à une telle proposition alléchante ... 

Impressions 
Une nouvelle très courte se déroulant dans le monde de la presse féminine. 

Le lecteur suit les aventures de Shey qui subit les saloperies de son supérieur alors qu'elle fait du bon boulot. Du moins, c'est comme cela que LB est décrit car à part lui donner des deadlines assez courtes, aucune situation n'est vraiment insurmontable. C'était certainement une ambiance proposait afin de faire sympathiser le lecteur avec l'héroïne... Je n'ai pas été touchée!

 Shey flash sur Calvin qui a eu un divorce l'ayant laissé sur la paille. Depuis cette expérience, il n'accorde pas sa confiance aux femmes et ne souhaite pas s'engager. 
Shey, elle, a été conçue par erreur après une partie de jambes en l'air sans protection. 
Du coup, elle a peur de s'attacher et de s'engager pour éviter de ressembler à sa mère, une garce incroyable.  

Rien d'inoubliable dans le récit, ni dans les personnages. L'histoire étant assez courte, les deux héros tombent amoureux trop rapidement et résolvent tous leurs problèmes en un claquement de doigts. 

Je suis certainement injuste, car le récit n'est pas mauvais, mais les héros ont des bagages personnels lourds qui s'évaporent miraculeusement après quelques jours passés en compagnie l'un de l'autre. Je veux bien que l'amour fasse des miracles mais j'ai trouvé cela trop rapide. 
Pas le temps non plus de s'attacher aux personnages que l'histoire est déjà terminée. 

Donc, un récit parfait pour un trajet en métro pendant lequel on veut se distraire sans se prendre la tête.
