Question of the week...
Reading Nook: Give us a tour of your favorite reading spots...
In the subway to pass the time and change my mind. Unlike those who are irritated and sulky, those who play with their phones, sometimes I can be found laughing aloud in the public transportation.
Sure, I get a few side glances especially when characters have amused me.
It was the case with "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows. I remember it perfectly because I was not able to hide my smile!
Otherwise, I read in the waiting rooms, in the supermarket queues and if the story is compelling even when I'm walking!
Anyway, I unsheathed my book from my bag faster than the cowboys of the Wild West with their guns!
More classic: in my bed, on my couch, on the beach or in front of the TV when the program bored me ...
A veritable bookaholic !
And sometimes I'm not alone...
Blog Hop...How does this work?
First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today?
Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee's View & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.
My cat is totally like the one in the picture.

I live your pictures, surprisingly public transportation is great for reading. Thanks for hopping by. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI read everywhere too. Especially on the bus - it's such a great way to pass time and I have audio books to listen to, so no getting car sick! I laugh out loud on the bus all the time too, but I got the weirdest looks when I was reading a book a week ago (maybe two?) that broke my heart and I started crying. Ugly crying LOL. yeah weird looks, but I seriously didn't care, the book was so good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by (I voted! :-) Good luck) and Happy Friday!
I stay home most of the time, so reading everywhere hasn't really hit yet.. The picture with the cat is really funny.

I know what you mean by reading everywhere. Besides my desk and bed, where I mainly read, I also read everywhere at school :) Thanks for stopping by and following!

I have to commend you on being able to read and walk. I have a hard time not being clumsy when I focus on walking. No way could I read too. I also like your comic strip. I don't have cats but my friends that do always complain that they can't relax without the cat always in the way.

I saw a lot of people reading in the subway last time I took it.. Haha it must be soooo awkward to start laughing or crying because of a book in public!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)

I can read anywhere too! Adding all those pics would have taken FOREVER! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Take Me Away...
I can't quite read anywhere, but I do read on public transport. I don't want to talk to strangers or stare out the window awkwardly so a book is a good alternative.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF!
Nice blog you have here. Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI love that you're as nerdy as I am, reading while waiting in queues, at the doctor's. I also read every minute I need to wait somewhere, I never leave the house without a book in my purse. People tend to look a bit weirded out, but who cares?! My son and husband know that I sometimes read through meals when the book is just too good to stop. ;)
