Used to read erotic romances with a bit of BDSM in the plot, though I confess that this story has disturbed me. I have a difficult time to express my feeling and impressions. I was intrigued, annoyed, interested, confused while being unable to stop my reading. My curiosity was piqued as well as hooked.

So even with my mixed feelings, I wanted to know what was going to happen at end the relationship between Serenna and Gustav, even though their reports are puzzling.

I think what bothered me is how Serenna is treated by Gustav. Once like a slave or an investment. The other as a trollop or a lover... I know that woman has different faces but it was too much...

Psychological games played by Gustav and his unclear intentions strongly bothered me as much as made me curious.
Serenna attitude has also irritated me. She is inexperienced but at the same time, she already has BDSM experience. She wants to break into photography and she is not ashamed to sell herself to achieve her goal... In short, the confusion of the characters and what happens in their heads made me cringe.

And it is precisely this confusion that makes me addicted to the story. I wanted to understand so I kept turning the pages.

So, I do not know if I liked the story or not. I only know that I will not keep myself away from reading the sequel to try to find some answers. The characters have irritated me so much that now, I want to try to understand them.

Grrrr! I let myself be bamboozled by Primula Bond!

Impressions
Habituée à lire des romances érotiques avec un peu de SM dans l'intrigue, j'avoue pourtant que cette histoire m'a troublé.
J'ai un sentiment difficile à exprimer concernant mes impressions.
J'ai été intriguée, lassée, intéressée, ennuyée tout en étant incapable d'arrêter ma lecture. Ma curiosité, bien piquée, a voulu savoir comment allait se terminer la relation entre Serenna et Gustav alors même que je trouvais leurs rapports déroutants.

Je crois que ce qui m'a dérangé, c'est la manière dont Serenna est traitée par Gustav. Un coup comme une esclave ou un investissement. L'autre comme une traînée puis comme une amante. Je sais que les femmes ont différents visages mais quand même!

Les jeux psychologiques de Gustav et ses intentions peu claires m'ont fortement ennuyés autant qu'intrigués.
L'attitude de Serenna m'a irrité. Elle est sexuellement inexpérimentée mais possède déjà une expérience SM. Elle veut percer dans la photographie et se vend pour y parvenir... Une oie pas très blanche...
Bref, la confusion des personnages et de ce qui se passe dans leurs têtes m'a fait grincer des dents.

Et c'est justement cette confusion qui rend le récit prenant. J'ai voulu comprendre alors j'ai continué à tourner les pages.

Du coup, je ne sais pas si j'ai aimé l'histoire ou non mais je sais que je ne pourrais pas m'empêcher de lire la suite, afin d'essayer de trouver des réponses. Car les personnages m'ont tellement irrités que maintenant je veux essayer de les comprendre.
