A sumptuous arresting cover. I was immediately call out by this sad and magnetic illustration of a young clown. 
Unable to resist, I wanted to discover the world of this awesome Pierrot the Moon. 

Like any children's story, there are different ways to read Sasha's adventures. A strange little boy, marginalized by his appearance, that lives in the entertainment world until the day his mother died of the plague in the Paris of yesteryear. 

His inconsolable father abandons him. Without ever being undermined by difficulties, Sasha takes his life and fate in his own hands. 
After escaping from an orphanage, he meets Josh the cat. Together, they will enter into a circus and their lives will be changed forever. 

Then, there is the adult vision. The theme of death, disease, alcoholism and neglect in connection with Sasha's parents. 
Differences, loneliness, acceptance, friendship, loyalty and belonging that come from the circus and its members. 

A Gothic tale full of magic and supernatural beings. Sasha is a mixture of Pierrot the Moon, Pinocchio, in the disguise of a sad clown, with a generous and courageous soul. 
Chloe and Josh are also very beautiful characters with each physical or behavioral characteristics that help the author to talk about the differences, fear and happiness to be surrounded by friends. 

A beautiful story with incredibly touching drawings.

L'histoire du petit Parisien, Sasha, et ses mésaventures poignantes, à la fois touchantes et mélancoliques, combinant une histoire gentiment gothique avec des illustrations saisissantes magnifiquement réalisées. 

Impressions
Une couverture somptueuse. J'ai été immédiatement interpellée par cette illustration triste et magnétique. Incapable de résister, j'ai voulu découvrir l'univers de ce Pierrot la lune. 

Comme tout conte pour enfant, il y a différentes manières de lire l'histoire de Sasha. Un petit garçon étrange, marginalisé par son apparence, qui vit dans le monde du spectacle jusqu'au jour où sa mère meurt de la peste dans le Paris de jadis. 
Son père inconsolable abandonne Sasha. Sans jamais se laisser miner par les difficultés, il prend sa vie en main et se sort de l'adversité. 
Après s'être enfuie de l'orphelinat, il rencontre Josh le chat. Ensemble, ils vont entrer dans un cirque et leur vie va être bouleversée à jamais. 

Puis, il y a la vision adulte. Les thèmes de la mort, de la maladie, l'alcoolisme et de l'abandon en relation avec les parents de Sasha. 
Les différences, la solitude, l'acceptation, l'amitié, la loyauté et l'appartenance qui viennent du cirque et ses membres. 

Le conte à des allures gothiques avec de la magie, du surnaturel. Sasha est un mélange de Pierrot, de Pinocchio dans le déguisement d'un clown triste avec une âme généreuse et courageuse. 
Chloë et Josh sont également de très beaux personnages avec chacun des particularités physiques ou comportementales qui aident l'auteur à parler des différences, de la peur et du bonheur à être entouré d'amis.  

Une très belle histoire avec des dessins incroyablement touchants.
