MY FAVORITE MISTAKE BY CHELSEA M. CAMERON

MY FAVORITE MISTAKE VOL 1

Synopsis
Two secrets. One bet. Who will break first?

Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.

On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, so she needs him gone before it's too late.

Hunter himself has been burned before, but Taylor's sexy laugh and refusal to let him get away with anything make her irresistible. Determined not to be kicked out of her life without a fight, Hunter proposes a bet: if she can convince him she either truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment;and leave her alone.

But when the man behind Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever.

Reactions
Another romance in college? Yes, but ... An interesting and fun one.
A novel in which you are following characters, with a delicate past, with a smile and some respect for the way they went through their ordeals. There is an air of "Beautiful Disaster" by Jamie McGuire but less volatile and less sexual.

I like to think that the love at first sight reaction from Hunter was real. (As real as a fictional love can be!) That love can bring change and the wish to change in the one you are falling for.
I liked the humor and perseverance of the man who knows what he wants without putting too much pressure.

I was just tired of the heat and cold of Hunter's reactions, the same way, I was fed up with how Taylor plays with fire without wanting to get burn.

But I loved the willingness to fight of this young woman who wants to stop being a victim trapped inside her fears while his attacker is freer while being imprisoned.

Anyway, this story grabbed me from the start. I smiled. I turned the pages with curiosity. Sometimes I was annoyed, sometimes surprised. But at the end, I was really happy with the result after the last page was read.

A beautiful romance for young adults.
The author was able to make it original by offering characters with strenght, temper and some great fighting spirit.

Sentences

"There must be a mistake," I said. He adjusted his bag on his shoulder. "That's a creative name. What do you shorten it to? Missy?"

From Taylor: "He may have been a jerk, but he was an intriguing one."

From Hunter: "Then there must be something in the water where you live that alters logic."

From Hunter: "There's no expiration date on my offer. If you come to me in sixty years, I'll be waiting with a bottle of Viagra."

MY FAVORITE MISTAKE VOL 1

  1. I've heard so much about this book, and I love love-hate relationships. I don't really recall any GREATEST mistake, they were just not that big of a deal.
    Thanks!
