Angelology by Danielle Trussoni

Nice surprise despite the initial hesitation/
Belle surprise malgré l'hésitation initiale

The Cover:
Placed in the middle of the latest thrillers releases and true crime novels, the cover of this book was eyeing me for several weeks before I've kicked myself and bought it.
Each time, I was attracted. I've reached for it, browsed through it and take my leaves without. As a result one day, like a thief, I've finally taken hold of this novel, in a hurry at the last minute, for the cashier will not let me have time to change my mind.
I can not explain the indecision. The name, perhaps not quite catchy, or the fear of falling for a bullshit story about angels, or worse a religious boring blabling
.

Conclusion:
None of this! Nice surprise with this novel well built. Keeps you spellbound. It immerses you alternately in the myth of Orpheus, the story of the Lost Paradise, the Nephilim or fallen angels history, but also in a more contemporary periode with Europe in the time of World War II and the U.S. today. By following the characters you will cross many streets, run through History and travel through time. You will shudder as in battle between good and evil, beauty and cruelty of human beings in search of more and more power. A bit of the atmosphere of "Da Vinci Code" not unpleasant even if sometimes it's a tad long when you get lost in the religious details. But easily forgiven by a complex story well written.

Summary:

Although she is sucked into an incredible adventure where the mankind could see his destiny changed for the worst, Evangeline will be full of surprises in adversity. But in her quest for truth, the answers she will be given will they be life-saving discoveries or destructives ones ? It's up to you to find out...

A second volume is being written and should be released in 2012.

ANGELOLOGY
