Cale touches you by his cold demeanour, his difficulty to express his feelings. He is a splendid addictive and disturbing villain. You will want to know how he will evolve. Who will he be touched by? How he will cope the betayal of the one he cherishes ? If he is truly unrecoverable ?And if he qualified for the role of angel of death ?Often brutal, the adventures of Cale will make you quiver. An addictve story that you can not let go of !

Des les premières pages, on plonge dans une atmosphère oppressante, gênante, pleine de cruautés. Un récit ou l’on est tiraillé entre l’envie de déposer ce livre dérangeant, le fermer et ne pas être témoin de cette histoire, et notre incapacité à ne pas céder à la curiosité. Plus c’est noir, plus on garde espoir.

Résumé:
Rien ne prédisposait Thomas Cale au destin tragique que l’on va nous conter. Arrivé au Sanctuaire de la délivrance très jeune, il va tenter de survivre dans un milieu ou son cerveau va être lavé par de la violence et des humiliations. Seuls les plus forts subsistent.
Elevé et entrainé à combattre, Cale est devenu le parfait soldat : froid et détaché. Un stratège féroce avec toutes les qualités d’un assassin, surdoué, sans foi, ni loi.

Pourtant, il veut s’échapper de sa prison religieuse et découvrir ce que lui réserve le monde, même s’il doit mourir en essayant. Traqué, il va parvenir à semer ces poursuivants pour plonger dans la gueule d’un nouveau loup tout aussi violent et meurtrier. Dans un pays où les coutumes lui sont étrangères, Cale va devoir trouver sa place sans trop attirer l’attention. Peine perdue pour ce jeune homme dont les réflexes et qualités de tueurs font froid dans le dos de ceux qui croisent sa route. Même l’élue de son cœur ne pourra s’empêcher de trembler. Impressions :
Cale vous touche par sa froideur, son calcul et sa difficulté à exprimer ses sentiments . C’est un splendide vilain qui dérange. On veut savoir comment il va évoluer: qui va le toucher, comment il va s’en sortir, s’il est vraiment irrécupérable. Qualifié d’ange de la mort, il aiguise notre curiosité.
Souvent brutales, les aventures de Cale vont vous faire palpiter. Ce livre est passé de ma table de nuit, à mon sac lors de mes trajets en métro tout en réapparaissant pendant ma pause déjeuner… Impossible de le lâcher !
