Synopsis

Summary:
Jaya, a young dynamic and organized woman is working as an event planner in her father's company. When she got fired, she left her first tears flowing on the shoulder of Alec, a total stranger.

While Jaya quickly wants to forget this embarrassing moment, destiny seems to continue to throw her and the handsome Alec on the same path. But can Jaya lose control of her life organized and fully appreciate the present and perhaps the future with a total stranger... 

Reactions:
Rather hot, this romance is remarkably well written.

Worthy of fairy tale, the plot worked its magic on me. I would have asked for more if there had been additional pages... 


First, there is full of villains: a beautiful mean sister who betrayed Jaya by stealing her former boyfriend. An ex lover, fickle, manipulative and careerist who wants to destroy the lovely Princess. A father unable to show and express his feelings without beeing harsh. A wicked lonely witch, more impressive than truly evil, who will reveal herself as a powerful ally.


Then, there are the good fairies... In this case, Jaya's best girlfriends with sassy mouth like in "sex in the city". After all the catastrophes in Jaya life, they gently pushed her away from self pity by daring her to loosen up. 


Finally, Prince Charming Alec who is supposed to be broke but obviously is an heir with important connections. As we are in the 21st century, Mr. Charming is also an expert in fantasies and various positions of the Kama Sutra to make sure that the encounters between himself and Jaya will directly drive them to the seventh heaven.
  

Jaya is an independant, modern and courageous princess even if she has a compulsive need to control everything. The author described her as a normal every day woman with which the female readers can relate to and not a princess locked in an ivory tower. So, her fragility and her faults become touching and you can not stop yourself for rooting for her.

While I am painting the story in gently mocking tone, I really enjoyed reading this novel. Like a walk through a haunted house, the reader knows that problems will occur on the road but at the end of the trip, he has had fun palpitations through the path taken. 
Emotions are light, spicy, subtle, pictorial and I was embarked on a beautiful love adventure. 
Very cool and fresh, I really liked it.

C'est une stratégie qui lui a bien servi jusqu'à ce qu'elle se retrouve dans une spirale d'échecs, sans fiancé, sans travail et avec son trentième anniversaire pointant son nez à l'horizon. Peut-être est-il temps de changer de méthodes. En commençant par se trouver un nouveau cavalier pour le mariage de l'enfer.

La seule chose qui puisse retenir l'insouciant playboy, Alec Danthers, c'est sa formidable belle-mère. Quand elle lui demande de revenir à la maison pour l'aider à trouver son bon à rien de frère, il n'aurait jamais imaginé qu'une planificatrice coincée, amoureuse des listes et insolente lui ferait penser à prendre racine.

Jaya peut-elle laisser tomber ses listes assez longtemps pour profiter pleinement d'Alec? Alec arrêtera-t-il de courir assez longtemps pour reconnaître le grand amour?
 
Résumé:
Jaya, une jeune femme dynamique et organisée, travaille dans l'événementiel dans la société de son père. Lorsqu'elle se fait virer, elle laisse couler ses premières larmes sur l'épaule d'Alec, un total inconnu. Même si Jaya veut oublier se souvenir embarrassant, le destinée semble continuer à les mettre sur le chemin l'un de l'autre. Alec va alors lui apprendre à perdre le contrôle de sa vie organisée et à apprécier pleinement le présent et peut-être le future... 

Impressions
Plutôt hot, cette nouvelle est remarquablement bien écrit. 
Une romance avec une intrigue de contes de fée qui a fonctionné telle une potion magique sur moi qui en aurait redemandé « encore » s'il y avait eu des pages supplémentaires.

D'abord, il a pleine de vilains: une belle peste en guise de sœur avec des trahisons et de la jalousie. Un ex copain volage, manipulateur et arriviste qui souhaite détruire la charmante princesse Jaya. Un père incapable de montrer ses sentiments, une marâtre solitaire plus impressionnante que méchante qui va même s'avérer être un allié puissant. 
Puis,  il y a les bonnes fées... En l'occurrence, deux copines à la « Sex in the city », toujours fidèles au poste dans les coups durs et toujours partantes pour s'éclater. Elles sortiront Jaya de la dépression en la forçant à sortir de sa zone de confort et à tenter de nouvelles expériences.

Enfin, le prince charmant, Alec, qui est censé être fauché mais qui évidemment est un héritier avec des connections importantes. Comme nous sommes au 21e siècle, Mr Charmant est aussi un expert en fantasmes et diverses positions du Kama Sutra pour rendre les rencontres propices au 7e ciel. 


Jaya, elle, est une princesse moderne, forte et courageuse même si elle a un besoin compulsif de tout contrôler. L'auteur l'a décrit comme une femme de tous les jours à laquelle on peut s'identifier et pas une princesse enfermée dans une tour d'ivoire. Du coup, on s'attache à ses petites manies et ses défauts deviennent touchants. 

Même si je dépeins l'histoire en me moquant gentillement, je me suis régalée à lire ce roman. Comme dans une balade dans un chanteau hanté, le lecteur sait que des problèmes vont survenir sur la route des personnages mais qu'à la fin du voyage, il aura eu des palpitations grâce au chemin emprunté. 
Les émotions sont légères, pimentées, subtiles, imagées et vous laissent embarquer pour une très belle histoire d'amour. 
Très frais, j'ai beaucoup aimé.
