Summary:
Danwei has the physique of a little girl even if she is about to enter high school. When she meets Xiang and he comes to her aid, she immediately falls under his spell.

Three volumes already available in this manga full of bittersweet feelings. Ke Li tells the story of a lovely Lolita who falls in love with a lady-killer who flits from girls girls.
Beyond this simple story, the author dwells on the complexity of emotions displayed by the characters. As if they were all wearing masks to protect themselves in order to get ahead in life without suffering.
She could have been annoying in her role if it was an act, but she is truly honest, without artifice. She thinks of the welfare of others before thinking of her own. No calculation, no backbiting so the reader can not help but want to take her under his wing as Kui and Xian do. Xian is a real tomboy, independent and uncomfortable in her girl's skin. She uses violence to protect those she loves but also to communicate her feelings. Only her childwood friend, Kui, is able to decrypt her behaviour and see her as she is: beautiful.
I like Kui the must. He appears to be a young man uncompromising, faithful and just. Attention, Yan's arrival in the landscape of Volume 3 could bring some interesting twists in the expression of a new range of feelings in the group dynamic...
So, for a manga supposely full of romance, the reader find himself in an array of varied emotions depeint on a full palette of shades. This gives the intensity and matter to the plot.
For the drawings, Li Ke was very attentive to details. The characters are well pictured with amazing traits of the hair close to reality.
But this is again the expressions and the penetrating look at the protagonists that makes this manga interesting. The male characters are always attractive with the details of a smirking, mocking or irresistible smile well captured by the artist. The drapes are wonderfully drawn too, like made in the scenes with Xiang's grandfather.
It is a feast for the eyes!

Danwei à le physique d'une petite fille alors qu'elle va entrer au lycée. Lorsqu'elle rencontre Xiang et qu'il lui vient en aide, elle tombe sous son charme immédiatement. Sauf que le destin s'en mêle et que les deux jeunes gens se retrouvent dans la même classe.
Danwei décide alors de confesser son amour au playboy du lycée. Mais en plus d'un cœur brisé, elle pourrait perdre une belle amitié car Xiang est un garçon aux réactions bien étranges...

Ke Li raconte l'histoire d'une lolita adorable qui s'amourache d'un tombeur qui papillonne de filles en filles s'en s'attacher.
Au delà de cette simple histoire, l'auteur s'attarde sur la complexité des émotions montrée par les personnages. Comme s'ils portaient tous un masque pour se protéger, afin d'avancer dans la vie sans souffrir.
Xian, elle, est un vrai garçon manqué, indépendante et mal à l'aise dans son rôle de fille. Elle use de violence pour protéger les gens qu'elle aime mais aussi pour communiquer ses sentiments. Seul son ami Kui parvient à la décrypter et à la voir telle qu'elle est: magnifique.
Xiang, lui, cache sa solitude derrière une façade de playboy. Il a peur d'éprouver des sentiments et d'heurter ceux qui l'aiment donc il les maintient à distance. C'est pourquoi, la spontanéité, la naïveté de Danwei le perturbe immensément.
J'aime bien Kui qui apparaît être un jeune homme entier, fidèle et juste. Attention, l'arrivée de Yan dans le paysage du volume 3 pourrait amener des rebondissements intéressants tout comme l'expression d'une nouvelle gamme de sentiments dans le groupe d'amis...
Du coup, pour un manga plein de romance, on se retrouve dans un tableau d'émotions à la palette variée et pleine de nuances. Cela donne de l'intensité et de la matière à l'intrigue.
Au niveau des dessins, Ke Li a été très attentif aux détails. Les personnages sont bien dessinés avec des détails de la chevelure proche de la réalité. Mais c'est encore une fois les expressions et l'intensité du regard chez les protagonistes qui rend ce manga intéressant.
Les personnages masculins sont attirants avec toujours le détail d'un sourire narquois, moqueur ou irrésistible bien captés par l'artiste. Les drapés sont, eux aussi, bien faits surtout dans les scènes avec le grand-père de Xiang.
C'est un régal pour les yeux!
