Summary:

While her attraction to Blake grew up, her curiosity to discover the secrets of the young man intensified. Will she resist the temptation to learn more about the man who lives in her thoughts? Will her curiosity leads her to her ruin?

Reactions:
I must admit that I have a little time to get into the story. Yet as in "The Others" with Nicole Kidman, I could not help but stay alert while waiting for bad things to happen.


The author keeps you in suspense with a thriller built in detail. But I admit I waited too long before the real action begins.
I also admit I have not been touched by the characters. The hero, Blake is too stuck. Even if he have particular skills, he do not dare to use them. So, instead of cling to him, his circumstances and his dilemma, I have noted over his coldness and lack of action. The final pages and the final twists and turns have proved that I was wrong.


A little disappointing pace, the fact remains that this book reading remained smooth and enjoyable. I will read the second volume of this trilogy to see if my interest and curiosity are piqued

Mais Blake n'est pas tout ce qu'il semble. Il y a une étrangeté en lui, quelque chose de sombre et d'un autre monde. Quelque chose de dangereux. Résumé:
Winter rencontre Blake quelques secondes avant que le toit d'une église ne s'effondre sur elle. Sauvée d'une mort certaine, elle se retrouve exposée inlassablement à des accidents étranges qu'elle semble attirer. Blake, quant à lui ,semble toujours se matérialiser pour la sauver. Alors que son attirance pour Blake grandit, sa curiosité pour découvrir les secrets du jeune homme s'intensifie. Pourra-t-elle résister à la tentation d'en savoir plus sur l'homme qui habite ses pensées ? Sa curiosité la mènera-t-elle à sa perte ?
                                                              Impressions:

Je dois avouer que j'ai mis un peu de temps à rentrer dans l'histoire. Pourtant comme dans « Les Autres » avec Nicole Kidman, je n'ai pu m'empêcher de rester en alerte en attendant les mauvaises choses d'arriver.
L'auteur vous tient en haleine avec un suspense construit dans le détail. Mais j'avoue avoir attendu trop longtemps avant que l'action réelle ne débute.

J'avoue aussi ne pas avoir été touché par les personnages. Le héros, Blake, est trop coincé. Même s'il a des habilités particulières, ils n'osent pas les exploiter. Du coup, au lieu de m'attacher à lui, ses circonstances et son dilemme, j'ai plus noté sa froideur et son manque d'action. Les dernières pages et les rebondissements finaux ont prouvé que j'avais eu tort.

Un peu décevant dans le rythme, il n'empêche que la lecture est restée fluide et agréable. A suivre pour voir si mon intérêt et ma curiosité restent piqués.
