Reactions:
This novel was a recommendation from Amazon at a attractive price for the Kindle version. So I went to check the critics and many readers said they were surprised by the story and the turn of the elements. So I tried the first chapter on my Kindle before to take the plunge.

I admit I had some prejudice against this book and was expecting a story full of "clichés" and "déjà vu" with Peter in the role of the Prince Charming with a guitar. I was caught by my own condescension!

My apologies to Angie Staton who knew how to move me to tears by the intensity of the emotions felt by Peter. Her writing skills made just an unbelievably wonderfull story with entertaining, poignant or even stressful scenes. My heart was tight for the two lovers through the pages and I closed the lats one with a smile. I was delighted and surprised as predicted and promised by the reviewers.

Certainly, there is a Cosette side (from "Les Misérables" by Victor Hugo) in Libby character that appears in all her misfortunes as if a spell had been cast against this young lady. But the girl always goes out of awkward situations and gains some strength in adversity. She continues to hold on and move forward positively. Is her strength of character that touched me the most.

I confess having been partial to Peter, the broken heart lover. While with the group, I was strongly reminded of the phenomenon of the Jonas Brothers. I was less moved by the trio as i was with Peter's character who has been shown to have a huge heart and a remarkable persistence.

A beautiful story simple and moving.
Recommended for lovers of beautiful fateful meeting...

ROCK AND A HARD PLACE
BY ANGIE STANTON
