Synopsis
Ivy Hammond got dumped at the altar, all because she was too much of a good girl in the bedroom. So when a research study on sex appeal needs participants, she jumps at the chance to learn what it takes to be sexy.

Kip Lockehart owes his foster brother his life. He repays the debt by agreeing to participate in a new sex appeal study. From the first sizzling assignment, Kip is immediately intrigued by the lovely Ivy, who’s innocently curious about what makes a woman sensual. Kip is more than happy to show her.

After being dumped, Ivy decides todo something drastic and enter a study on the sex appeal while lying about her lack of experience. Her meeting with Kip, his partner in this study, could lead her to become a femme fatale or drive her on an unexpected road...

Reactions:
I received this novel as a giveaway from « Goodreads » but I admit I was a little disappointed ...
All the ingredients are there to make a good novel, but even with exquise flavors I have not been carried sufficiently. Indeed, a lot of well written clichés but in my case the magic wasn't released. A bit like if the author had nicely compile elements supposed to raise and build the intensity and the attraction, but too spice up a dish can sometimes hide his essence ...

Beyond the study which is the heart of the action, I had problems with some elements of the story. Especially with Ivy's brother, I have not seen what he brought.
By cons I confess Kip Lockehart has been well worked by the author. A disrupted past, a bad relationship that leaves him to struggle to exit his business from bankrupcy and a fragility that made ​​him a plausible and endearing character.

A story enjoyable and easy to read. But personally, I have not been swept off my feet.

Kip est plus qu'heureux de lui montrer. Mais alors que les missions passionnées les rapprochent, il craint qu'ils puissent briser la règle N°1 de l'étude-ne jamais tomber amoureux.

Mais quand il ne peut pas arrêter d'imaginer Ivy comme son épouse, il se met à se convaincre que certaines règles ont été faites pour être violées.

Résumé:
Après avoir été larguée, Ivy décide d'entrer dans une recherche sur le sex-appeal et de mentir sur son manque d'expérience. Sa rencontre avec Kip, son partenaire dans cette étude, pourrait l'amener à devenir une femme fatale ou la conduire sur une voie plus inattendue...




Impressions:
J'ai reçu ce livre gratuitement de la part de « Goodreads » et j'avoue avoir été un peu déçue... Tous les ingrédients sont présents pour faire un bon roman mais les arômes ne m'ont pas transporté suffisamment.

En effet, les clichés s'enchaînent sans qu'il n'y ait de magie qui s'opère, du moins, dans mon cas. Un peu comme si l'on avait compiler les moments sensés faire monter l'intensité et l'attirance, mais trop épicer un plat peut parfois masquer son essence...
Au delà l'étude qui est le cœur de l'action, j'ai eu des problèmes avec certains éléments de l'histoire. Notamment avec le frère d'Ivy, je n'ai pas vu ce qu'il a apporté.

Par contre j'avoue que Kip Lockehart a bien été travaillé par l'auteur. Son passé perturbé, son combat pour sortir son entreprise de la panade après la fin d'une relation délicate et sa fragilité en ont fait un personnage plausible et attachant.
Une histoire plaisante et facile à lire. Mais personnellement, je n'ai pas été embarquée.
