When I arrived in the United States, Lisa Kleypas is one of the first authors that I was advised to read as Nora Roberts, Iris Johansen and James Patterson. I did not particularly appeal to romance and did not really know the historical romances types either. I starded by reading "The Wallflower" series. I found the style of Lisa Kleypas trully entertaining and well written. Then I continued with the "Hathaways" series and with more contemporary of "Daddy Suggar." She manages to captivate her reader, make you smile and make you dream.

That's why on regular basis, I pick up one of her books and I am assured of to spend a good time.

With "Suddenly You", from the first lines you're in the thick of it with an intensity and an atmosphere charged with electricity that follows you for a long time. The characters are endearing and as always with Kleypas, the heroine does not have her tongue in her pocket and is far from dull. Instead, she undid the dictates of London society by proving that a woman can have a brain and her own thoughts.
It always makes me smile because it is a subject still as relevant today despite the freedom and openness which we flatter ourselves.

Obviously as it is a romance, there is the birth of a beautiful love story full of twists to let the reader enjoy leisurely the final "Happy End".
Well written, with scenes taking funny, sensual and poignant that make this book a success.

Entre les bras de Jack, la jeune femme découvre un plaisir insoupçonné. Il est à la fois merveilleusement beau et d'une virilité irrésistible. Toutefois, sur le point d'accomplir son rêve, il se dérobe.

Lorsque je suis arrivée aux Etats-Unis, Lisa Kleypas a été l'un des premiers auteurs que l'on m'a conseillé de lire avec Nora Roberts, Iris Johansen et James Patterson. Je n'avais pas particulièrement d'attrait pour les romances et ne connaissait pas vraiment les romances historiques. C'est avec « the Wallflower » séries  que j'ai découvert le style de Lisa Kleypas. J'ai continué ensuite avec la série des « Hathaways » et avec ces romances plus contemporaines comme « Suggar Daddy ».
Elle parvient à vous captiver, vous faire sourire et vous faire rêver.
C'est pour cela que régulièrement, je prends l'un de ces livres et je suis assurée de passer un bon moment.

Avec « Suddenly you », dès les premières lignes vous êtes dans le vif du sujet avec une intensité et une atmosphère chargée d'électricité qui vous suit pendant un long moment. Les personnages sont attachants et comme à chaque fois avec Kleypas, l'héroïne n'a ni sa langue dans sa poche, ni l'air d'une cruche. Au contraire, elle défit les diktats de la société londonienne en prouvant qu'une femme peut avoir un cerveau et des pensées propres.
Cela me fait toujours sourire car c'est un sujet toujours autant d'actualité de nos jours malgré la liberté et l'ouverture d'esprit dont nous nous flattons.
Bien évidemment comme c'est une romance, il y a la naissance d'une belle histoire amour pleine de rebondissements pour laisser le lecteur savourer tranquillement le « Happy End » final.
Bien écrit, prenant avec des scènes cocasses, sensuels et poignantes qui font de cet ouvrage une belle réussite.
